My testimony on benefits of the African Academic/Researcher platform
The African Academic/Researcher is an important engine for academician and researchers who are continuously looking fellowship and conference opportunities, and hunting funds for projects in Ethiopia and generally in Africa. The platform is providing different unique benefits for its followers such as almost a daily notification of opportunities via email, social media (e.g. Facebook); tailored opportunity; detail description of opportunities. I know several of my friends and colleagues have been benefiting from the platform in getting national and international conferences and fellowships. Specifically, I have benefited from the African Academic/Researcher platform to get both international conference and funds for my project. Back in 2019, as a result of the information given by the African Academic/Researcher, I got an opportunity to participate and present my research works in the 4th World Congress on Agroforestry in May 2019, Montpellier, France. Furthermore, following the opportunity calls shared by the platform, I applied my conservational project to the Van Tienhoven foundation, based in the Netherlands. My project was then being funded by the foundation. I am a real evidence that how the African Academic/Researcher is benefiting academicians and researchers (especially in developing countries-Africa) in getting up-to-date national and international opportunities to achieve their long-term dreams.
