Tailored Opportunities: Call for the fifth cohort of Affiliates of The African Academy of Sciences


This program seeks early and mid-career scientists who demonstrate excellence in their development and application of science in Africa. These individuals before affiliates of the AAs for five years and during this time they will receive individualized professional development support and then join a wider community of science leaders on the African continent.


Applicant must have an African nationality, PhD in the last 10 years, with substantial postdoctoral research experience, with an age of 40 or below by December 31st for males. Consideration will be made for females above 40 years who had career interruptions. Must reside and affiliated with an African Higher education or research institution. Female candidates, and candidates from under represented disciplines and countries are especially encouraged to apply.


The deadline of the application will be July 15, 1800hrs EAT


A full application consists of, a fully filled online application form submitted on Ishango, detailed CV sing the recommended template, copies of five (5) principal publications and Name and contacts of at least two references/mentors.
