Tailored Opportunities: Visiting Fellowships at University of Western Australia


The Univesity of Western Australia (UWA) invites application for Gledden Visiting Fellowships. The aim of this fellowship is to promote and encourage education and researcher at the University in applied science such as surveying, engineering, mining and cognate subjects. It also enables researchers to make a significant contribution to the research efforts of the Univesity to undertake a collaborative research with a UWA host. The fellowship types are two 1. The Robert and Maude Gledden Senior Visiting Fellowship and 2. The Robert and Maude Gledden short stay vising fellowship.


Gledden Senior Visiting Fellowship is open researchers who hold doctoral degrees or equivalent qualifications or experience, and who are mid-career or senior researchers.

Short stay visiting fellowship is open to researchers who hold doctoral degree, or equivalent qualifications or experience. Early, mid-career and senior researchers are eligible to apply.


The application deadline for the senior visiting fellowship is 30 August 2019

The application for short stay visiting fellowship can apply any time during the year.


Applicants who meet the criteria for the senior fellowship can fill the application form and submit it via email. Applicants who meet the criteria can fill the application form and mail it to the email.

The senior visiting fellowship provide a round trip economy class. In addition, it also provides about AUD1500 per week inclusive of accommodation as well as a modest living allowance for about 90 days.

The short stay visiting fellowship provides a maximum of AUD 3000 to assist with travel and accommodation expenses.
