Tailored Opportunities: Hunt Postdoctoral Full-time Writing Fellowship in Anthropology


The one of the aims of The Wenner-Gren Foundation is to support the writing-up of already completed research. This fellowship provide fund for scholars to devote their full-time in writing. This will enable a new generation of scholars to publish significant works that will impact the development of anthropology.


Scholar in earlier stages of their career and who completed research project but could not find time and resources to develop their research for publication. Scholars who hold Ph.D for no more than ten years are eligible to apply.


The deadline for this Fellowship is 1 May, 2019 and final decision will be made six months later. Funding will be available starting in January of the following year. Two stage decision making are made, the first is screening to be made in August and the second is to notify the successful candidates in October.


Applicants must submit their applications using the Foundation’s online application submission procedure as well as send printed copies to the Foundation by regular mail.


Financial support of USD 40,000 for twelve months or USD 20,000 for six months
